Bastar Security Camps to Evolve into High-Tech Service Hubs

The Union Government is set to collaborate with the National Institute of Design (NID) to overhaul the infrastructure of security camps in Chhattisgarh. Home Minister Amit Shah revealed that these camps will be redesigned to house modern public utility centers. Out of 200 security camps, 70 are already slated for this transition into multi-functional service delivery points. These centers will not only provide essential documentation services but will also act as primary points for distributing financial benefits from state and central government schemes directly to the beneficiaries’ accounts.

Shah also addressed the social reintegration of former insurgents, noting that nearly 3,000 Naxals have surrendered and are being integrated into the mainstream. To tackle the challenge of illiteracy among these individuals, adult education programs are being conducted through the RSS to provide them with the tools for a better future. The government’s ultimate goal is to bridge the administrative gap between Raipur and the remote villages of Bastar, ensuring that every citizen feels the presence of a supportive state infrastructure within their own locality.
