Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, during his visit to Seoul, met with the Advanced Technology Center Association (ATCA), led by Chairman Lee Jae Jeong, and senior officials. This meeting focused on fostering investment and collaboration opportunities within Chhattisgarh. ATCA, a significant industrial network encompassing over 60 major companies in sectors such as IT, electronics, semiconductors, pharmaceuticals, and textiles, has expressed interest in exploring B2B partnerships with Chhattisgarh-based companies.
Chief Minister Sai welcomed the ATCA delegation and highlighted the Chhattisgarh government’s commitment to providing a conducive environment for investors. He personally invited Lee Jae Jeong and other senior officials to visit Chhattisgarh during their upcoming India tour to experience firsthand the state’s investment potential and partnership possibilities.
During the discussions, Chief Minister Sai emphasized that Chhattisgarh is experiencing rapid development, supported by industry-friendly policies, abundant natural resources, a skilled workforce, and robust infrastructure. He expressed the desire for ATCA companies to invest in emerging sectors like IT, electronics, semiconductors, pharmaceuticals, and textiles, facilitating the creation of new partnerships, employment opportunities for the youth, and the strengthening of local industries.
Adding to his engagement, Chief Minister Sai participated in the Chhattisgarh Investor Connect program held in Seoul, organized in collaboration with the Indian Chamber of Commerce in Korea (ICCK). During this event, he emphasized the significant opportunities Chhattisgarh offers to South Korean companies. He noted that South Korea is a key destination for Indian steel exports and that Chhattisgarh, as a leading steel-producing state, is ready to enhance cooperation and explore new investment prospects.
Chief Minister Sai also pointed out that Chhattisgarh is rich in mineral resources, vital for the automotive and electronics industries. The availability of abundant lithium reserves is set to accelerate the EV revolution and support new-generation industries, positioning Chhattisgarh as a possible hub for global energy transition.
During the event, the Chief Minister announced the partnership with ICCK as a knowledge partner, stating that the Chhattisgarh Industrial Policy 2024-30 will provide a new direction for technology, skill development, and global cooperation. He expressed his confidence that the synergy between Korean innovation and Chhattisgarh’s resources would usher in a new era of progress.
Furthermore, the Chief Minister reiterated the Chhattisgarh government’s comprehensive support to investors, from single-window clearance and land allocation to ensuring necessary permissions and providing supportive policies. He expressed his belief that the involvement of South Korean companies will unlock new opportunities within Chhattisgarh’s industrial landscape, thus elevating the South Korea-India industrial cooperation.
