A bizarre incident unfolded in Dhamtari, Chhattisgarh, where a man’s calculated actions misled authorities into believing he had drowned. After clothing and slippers were found at the Gangrel Dam, a search was launched. After a 12-day search, the man was found in Delhi, revealing a ruse. The man, identified as Hemant Chandravanshi, had planned his disappearance, reportedly to escape substantial debt. On May 24th, Chandravanshi from Kawardha and his friends, stayed at a resort near the Gangrel Dam in Dhamtari. The next day, after his friends left, his belongings were found near the dam. The police were informed and launched a search. After the initial search yielded no results, the police grew suspicious and tracked a secondary phone number, leading them to Delhi. He was apprehended and brought back to Dhamtari. According to ASP Manishankar Chandra, Chandravanshi staged his disappearance because of his financial burden. Legal action will be taken.
