The Congress party is fully engaged in preparations for the forthcoming monsoon session of the Chhattisgarh Assembly. Key areas of focus will be the proposed 8-12% increase in electricity tariffs, the deteriorating condition of health and education services, the alleged 3200 crore liquor scam and administrative corruption, and the problems affecting agricultural schemes and the neglect of farmers. With several key events unfolding in Chhattisgarh’s political landscape recently, this monsoon session is anticipated to be highly charged. The Congress intends to adopt an aggressive approach, while the ruling BJP is also formulating its counter-strategies. Furthermore, the meeting will discuss organizational aspects and improved coordination amongst legislators. The meeting will also ensure regional issues are effectively addressed in the assembly.
