Chhattisgarh: Padma Shri Awardee Escapes Daring Kidnapping Attempt

A sinister plot to kidnap Padma Shri Phoolbasan Bai Yadav was narrowly averted this weekend. Known for her work with the Maa Bamleshwari Janhit Shakti Samiti, she was targeted by a group that exploited her compassionate nature. Under the guise of a request for a selfie with a disabled person, the kidnappers managed to get her into their car. The activist was subjected to a harrowing ordeal, tied up and silenced as the vehicle fled. However, the journey was cut short by a routine traffic barricade. When pulled over by Chikhli police, the suspects claimed she was an epilepsy patient, but an officer recognized her, leading to her rescue and the arrest of the culprits.
