Chhattisgarh Sees Rise in Cases of Familial Violence and Sexual Assault

Police are handling two distinct cases involving severe breaches of trust within families. In the Arang area, a son stands accused of raping his elderly mother and has been arrested. This comes after the accused previously served time for the rape of a minor. Separately, in Kondagaon’s Dhanora area, a young man is accused of raping his cousin and attempting to murder his aunt. Police have responded by arresting three individuals, one of whom is a minor, and are investigating both cases thoroughly.
