Chhattisgarh is gearing up for the ‘Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar Abhiyan’ and the National Nutrition Month 2025, which will commence on September 17th. A state-level event will take place in Raipur, featuring Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai and Union Minister Smt. Annapurna Devi. The combined effort by the central and state governments aims to ensure the health and welfare of women and children across the state. Health camps will be organized at more than 7,500 locations, providing crucial health check-ups and early interventions. The National Nutrition Month will focus on community participation, with activities at the village and town levels to promote awareness about nutrition and healthy living. The campaign places special emphasis on providing benefits under the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana to eligible women. Additionally, there will be an emphasis on the adoption of nutritious foods like millets. The campaign is designed to become a successful people’s movement with the support of local bodies and social organizations, reaching every village and city. During the campaign, programs like ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ will be organized, along with blood donation camps and mobile medical unit services in remote areas.
