Raipur, February 10, 2026 / On the occasion of Arpa Mahotsav and the sixth foundation day celebration of Gaurela Pendra Marwahi district, Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai gifted development works worth approximately 100 crore rupees to the district. He said that every possible effort will be made for the coordinated development of the district. On this occasion, he made several announcements including including the district in the Chief Minister Bus Service Scheme. He blessed 300 newly married couples for a happy married life under the Chief Minister Kanya Vivah Yojana during the program.
Wishing Arpa Mahotsav, Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai said that the inauguration and foundation stone laying of development works worth more than 100 crore will give momentum to the coordinated development of the district. He said that the construction of a 19 km road from Pendra Road to Amarkantak will facilitate transportation, and the construction of the Kevchi road will give a new direction to tourism development. The Chief Minister said that today the marriage of 6 thousand 414 couples has been solemnized across the state, which is a historic moment and has found a place in the Golden Book of World Records. He said that the Chief Minister Kanya Vivah Yojana is an important scheme towards respecting daughters and securing their future.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Mr. Sai announced the approval of a high rest house in Marwahi Nagar Panchayat, inclusion of GPM district in the Chief Minister Bus Service Scheme, construction of a grand auditorium at the district headquarters, and construction of a stop dam at Samdalai tourist spot. During the program, checks and materials were distributed to the beneficiaries of various schemes, and pattas were provided to 435 farmers under the Swamitva Yojana. Chief Minister Mr. Sai also inspected all the stalls related to public welfare schemes set up at the program venue.
During the program, Chief Minister Mr. Sai also released a booklet based on the development works of the district. Along with this, a video film based on the tourism potential of the district and the district’s development journey of two years was also screened. On this occasion, Women and Child Development Minister Mrs. Laxmi Rajwade, MLAs Mr. Pranav Kumar Marpachhi, Atal Srivastava, Anuj Sharma, Motilal Sahu, Zilla Panchayat President Mrs. Samira Paikra, along with other public representatives and officials, and a large number of general public were present.
