Ambikapur, Chhattisgarh: A grim domestic dispute, reportedly fueled by a wife’s alcohol addiction, has resulted in a tragic death. The police have arrested the husband and daughter of Durga Chaudhary, who is alleged to have been beaten to death by them.
The incident, which occurred on the night of December 29th, stems from the family’s prolonged efforts to persuade Durga Chaudhary to overcome her drinking habit. Reports suggest that these attempts were met with resistance, leading to escalating tensions within the household. The final confrontation, police say, involved a severe physical assault.
Following the beating, Durga Chaudhary was taken to the hospital in a critical state. Tragically, she passed away while undergoing treatment. Authorities at the Ambikapur Kotwali police station took charge of the investigation and, based on preliminary evidence, apprehended the victim’s husband and daughter. They have been presented before the court and placed in judicial custody. The case is under further investigation to ascertain all details of the alleged crime.
