The district administration in Pendra has taken strong action against officials for their negligence in the implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). Rajkumar Sharma, the Secretary of Tendumuda Gram Panchayat, has been suspended due to his negligence and lack of attention to duty. Jyoti Kashyap, the employment assistant of the same panchayat, has received a show cause notice.
In addition, the secretary of Thadpathra Gram Panchayat has been ordered to be transferred to another position immediately. This action was taken under the direction of the District Panchayat CEO, Surendra Prasad Vaidh, who has made it clear that no negligence will be tolerated in government schemes. He has warned all panchayat employees that strict action will continue against those who hinder the implementation of the PMAY. The administration’s firm approach has caused a stir in the panchayats, and all others have been directed to implement the schemes in a transparent and timely fashion.
