Heavy Rain in Kerala, Snow in Himalayas: India Weather Report

While North India deals with western disturbances, the southern and eastern parts of the country are facing their own meteorological challenges. In Kerala, heavy rainfall has prompted the IMD to issue an orange alert for districts including Ernakulam, Thrissur, and Idukki. These areas are expected to face lightning strikes and winds up to 50 kilometers per hour. In the north, the Himalayan range is seeing an unusual amount of moisture, with snow forecasts for Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh until May 8. Central India, including Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, is also set to experience a significant weather shift with thunderstorms and light rainfall.
