Infant Left on Shore as Mother Jumps into Chhattisgarh Reservoir

Heart-wrenching scenes were witnessed at the Gangrel Dam in Chhattisgarh when a distraught woman abandoned her crying infant on the shore to jump into the dam. The woman had reportedly been suffering from emotional turmoil following a fight with her husband. After a brief visit to a nearby temple, she made the impulsive decision to end her life. Fortunately, the site was busy with visitors who heard the child sobbing and noticed the woman in the water. Local divers and visitors successfully rescued her. She was transported to the Dhamtari District Hospital for emergency treatment. Authorities have emphasized the need for better support systems for victims of domestic disputes in the wake of this incident.
