Justice for Sarthak: Chhattisgarh Teacher Jailed Over Brutal Beating

The Dongargarh police have arrested a private school teacher for a violent assault on a 7th-grade student that left him partially deaf. Priyanka Singh, a 45-year-old teacher at Khalsa Public School, was taken into custody following a formal investigation. The victim, Sarthak Sahare, suffered 80 percent hearing loss in both ears after being slapped four times by Singh in July. The boy’s father, Sudhakar Sahare, has accused the school management of negligence and attempting to hush up the matter for months. Law enforcement authorities finally moved to arrest Singh after a thorough review of the case evidence and medical reports. SDOP Kesari Nandan Nayak confirmed that the teacher has been sent to prison and the investigation is ongoing regarding the school’s failure to report the incident.
