Announcement to increase the amount for Sant Samagam ceremony from 50 lakhs to 75 lakhs
Raipur, February 02, 2026 / Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai said that Chhattisgarh is rapidly progressing towards becoming a developed state. He said that Chhattisgarh has to be taken far ahead and established as a developed state. He announced an increase in the amount for the Sant Samagam ceremony Damakheda from Rs 50 lakh to Rs 75 lakh.
Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai attended the Satguru Kabir Sant Samagam ceremony organized on the occasion of Magh Purnima in Kabir Dharmnagar Damakheda on Sunday. On this occasion, he offered a chaddar and Shriphal to Panth Shri Udit Muni Nam Saheb, Panth Shri Prakash Muni Nam Saheb, took their blessings and wished for the prosperity of the state. Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai, extending his Magh Purnima wishes, said that the Sant Samagam ceremony of Kabir Dharm Nagar Damakheda is becoming grander every year, which is a symbol of growing faith among people.
Chief Minister Mr. Sai said that Kabirpanth has a wide impact on the public life of Chhattisgarh, hence the people here are peace-loving. He said that he has been familiar with Kabirpanth since childhood and there are 8-10 Kabirpanthi families in his village Bagia. He informed that the final process for publication in the gazette regarding the renaming of Damakheda to Kabir Dharmnagar is underway. Mr. Sai said that people are directly benefiting from the double-engine government. Now the Chief Minister said that Naxalism, which is a hurdle in the development of Chhattisgarh, will soon be eradicated. Naxalism will be completely wiped out from the state by March 31, 2026. We have rapidly fulfilled the promises made to the public.
Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Sharma said that the chaddar tilak of Panth Shri Udit Muni Nam Saheb was wonderful and divine. Panth Shri is working in the fields of tree plantation, social service, de-addiction, and youth empowerment. He took blessings for the happiness and prosperity of the state after having darshan of Panth Shri. He said that Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai is always concerned about the various development works of Kabir Ashram and instructs to complete them quickly. Food Minister Mr. Dayaldas Baghel and Bhatapara MLA Mr. Inder Sav also addressed the program.
At the ceremony, Panth Shri Prakash Muni Nam Saheb extended a warm welcome to Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai on behalf of the Kabirpanthi community. He said that this year, on the first day of the Magh Mela, on the occasion of Basant Panchami, the chaddar tilak of the new propagator of Kabirpanth, the 16th Vanshacharya Panthi Shri Udit Muni Nam Saheb, was completed. He informed that this year, Kabirpanthi saints from various states of the country as well as from abroad have come to the Sant Samagam Mela. The ceremony received full cooperation from the government and administration.
On this occasion, Panth Shri Udit Muni Nam Saheb, Gurugosain Bhanupratap Saheb, MLA Mrs. Bhavna Bohra, Mr. Ishwar Sahu, former MP Mr. Abhishek Singh, former MLA Shivratan Sharma, representatives of Sadguru Kabir Dharmdas Saheb Vanshawali Pratinidhi Sabha, officers-employees, and a large number of Kabirpanth followers were present.
