In a significant operation in Chhattisgarh’s Gariaband district, security forces have engaged in a fierce encounter with Naxalites. The operation commenced Thursday morning in the forests near Mainpur police station. As a result of the ongoing firefight, 10 Naxalites have been killed. A key achievement for the security forces has been the killing of Naxal commander Manoj, also known as Modem Balakrishna or Bhaskar, who was a member of the Central Committee and carried a reward of one crore rupees.
