First Place in Parental Participation Nationwide is a Matter of Pride: Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai
Chhattisgarh Excels in Pariksha Pe Charcha: Becomes a Role Model for Parents Across the Country
Raipur, January 4, 2026 / Chhattisgarh has achieved a remarkable feat in “Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026”, an initiative by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to celebrate exams as a stress-free festival. Chhattisgarh has set an example for the entire country by securing the first position in parental participation.
So far, 25.16 lakh participants have registered from Chhattisgarh, including 22.75 lakh students, 1.55 lakh teachers, and 81,533 parents. This achievement reflects the well-planned efforts in the state for exam management, time management, preventing parents from putting undue pressure on their children to score high marks, and boosting their confidence.
Chhattisgarh holds the first position in the country in terms of parental participation in ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’. In terms of total registrations, Chhattisgarh ranks fourth at the national level. Balodabazar district has seen 14,658 registrations and Sarangarh-Bilaigarh district has recorded 9,952 registrations, which is a clear testament to the increasing awareness, participation, and trust of parents in this campaign. This achievement is not just a numerical success but also indicates a positive shift in societal attitudes towards examinations.
Innovative strategies adopted by the state have been crucial behind this remarkable success. Maximum participation was ensured through district-level review meetings, on-site registration facilities were arranged at teacher training centers, and the community was extensively engaged through youth clubs and the “Angana Ma Shiksha Karyakram” (Education in Courtyards program).
The “Pariksha Pe Charcha Mela” organized in Sarangarh-Bilaigarh registered over 10,000 participants in a single day, whereas the average daily registration was around 1500 earlier. Teacher-parent conferences and Mega PTMs, organized as part of previous initiatives, have also given new direction to the alertness and participation of parents.
Inspiring experiences related to Pariksha Pe Charcha are also continuously emerging. Ms. Yuktamukhi, who participated in the program last year, shared her experiences and appealed to more students to register and ask their questions this year. Her inspiring message is awakening a spirit of enthusiasm, confidence, and active participation among students.
Similarly, in Sarangarh-Bilaigarh district, schools, the community, teachers, and students participated in large numbers in the “Pariksha Pe Charcha Mela” organized during the winter break, resulting in over 10,000 registrations in a single day. Inspired by this success, Pariksha Pe Charcha Melas are being organized in other districts of Chhattisgarh as well, and people are enthusiastically joining this campaign.
To ensure the active participation of teachers in Pariksha Pe Charcha in Chhattisgarh, registration facilities were provided at teacher training locations. During the training, teachers were thoroughly explained the registration process and assisted with registration on the spot, resulting in a very large number of registrations by teachers.
The registration process will remain open until January 11, 2026, and there is a strong possibility that Chhattisgarh will achieve the target of over 30 lakh registrations.
It is noteworthy that “Pariksha Pe Charcha” is an annual dialogue program by the Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, in which he directly interacts with students, teachers, and parents. Guidance is provided on exam-related challenges, stress management, and building self-confidence, and parents are also advised not to exert undue pressure for high marks but rather to boost their children’s morale and self-belief. This initiative has now become a public movement, fostering a broad social consciousness to celebrate exams as a festival rather than a source of stress.
“This achievement by Chhattisgarh in Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026 is the result of the collective effort of students, teachers, and parents of the entire state. Chhattisgarh has wholeheartedly embraced the message given by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji to treat exams as a celebration, not stress. Ranking fourth in the country for total registrations and first in parental participation is proof that awareness among our parents has also increased, and they are coming forward to boost their children’s confidence instead of putting undue pressure on them. I am confident that with this enthusiasm, we will also achieve the target of over 30 lakh registrations and continue to advance this campaign to make exams stress-free as a public movement.” – Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai
