Pendra District Cracks Down on Officials Over Housing Scheme Implementation

Following issues with the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana’s implementation in Pendra, the district administration has taken decisive action. Rajkumar Sharma, Secretary of Tendumuda Gram Panchayat, has been suspended for negligence and lack of diligence. Jyoti Kashyap, the employment assistant from the same panchayat, has been issued a show cause notice. The secretary of Thadpathra Gram Panchayat is being transferred with immediate effect. This follows directives from District Panchayat CEO Surendra Prasad Vaid, who stressed that there will be no tolerance for negligence in government programs. He warned all panchayat staff that firm action will continue against those who hinder the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. The administration’s action has spurred activity within the panchayats, with instructions given to others to ensure timely and transparent implementation of schemes.
