The Pendra district administration has taken a tough stance on the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana’s implementation in the Pendra development block. Secretary Rajkumar Sharma of Tendumuda Gram Panchayat has been suspended for negligence and dereliction of duty. Jyoti Kashyap, the employment assistant from the same panchayat, has received a show-cause notice. Furthermore, an order has been issued to immediately transfer the secretary of Thadpathra Gram Panchayat. This action was initiated under the instructions of District Panchayat CEO Surendra Prasad Vaidh, who has stated that any negligence in government schemes will not be tolerated. Vaidh has cautioned all panchayat employees that strict measures will be taken against anyone hindering the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana’s progress. This strong action by the administration has prompted a reaction in the panchayats, with other panchayats being directed to ensure schemes’ timely and transparent execution.
