Two people have tragically lost their lives in two separate road accidents in the Raigarh district of Chhattisgarh, while one individual has been critically injured. The local area is in mourning.
The first accident took place near the Pilari canal in the Kharsia police station area on Tuesday morning. Budhheshwar Sidar, 35, from Suti village, was riding a motorcycle with Rupesh Sidar, his relative. They were returning after dropping off Budhheshwar’s sister in Gadgaon when a speeding trailer, moving from Kharsia towards Raigarh, struck their motorcycle. Budhheshwar was killed instantly as the trailer’s wheels ran over him. Rupesh Sidar sustained severe injuries and was admitted to a hospital. The trailer driver fled the scene, prompting a police investigation.
The second accident occurred in Dhanagar village, under the jurisdiction of the Kotra Road police station. On Monday evening, around 5 PM, Uttam Prasad Sarthi parked a tractor loaded with sand on a slope and went home. Ashok Yadav (46), who was nearby, saw the tractor rolling down the slope and attempted to stop it. During the attempt, Ashok Yadav was run over by the tractor and died instantly. Police were informed by family members and villagers, and an investigation was launched after the body was sent for a post-mortem examination.
