The festive season is here, with Ganesh Chaturthi set to be celebrated on August 27th. The Raipur district administration has released guidelines for the Ganesh Utsav. To ensure smooth and responsible celebrations, a meeting was conducted with various committees. The meeting, led by Additional Collector Umashankar Bande and Additional SP Lakhan Patle, focused on the need to adhere to the NGT’s instructions. Key points include the mandatory requirement for committees to obtain permission before setting up pandals on roads. Furthermore, there will be a ban on loudspeakers after 10 PM, and CCTV cameras are compulsory in all Ganesh Pandals. Committees are also required to assign volunteers for security and maintain vigil during the night.
