A tragic accident resulted in the death of a family of four near Darbha on NH 30 in the Kanger Ghati National Park area of Jagdalpur. The victims were a husband, wife, and their two children. Their Swift Dzire car was swept away by the floodwaters. The family, who were visiting Bastar from Tamil Nadu, were caught in the deluge. The driver managed to escape, but the remaining four family members were unable to escape the powerful current. The Additional SP, Maheshwar Nag, confirmed the event. The SDRF team worked diligently late into the night to recover the bodies from the car. The bodies were transported to Jagdalpur Medical College for post-mortem examination. Police are actively investigating the incident.
