The University Grants Commission (UGC) has identified 54 private universities that have not adhered to its directives regarding information sharing and public disclosure. The UGC had directed all higher education institutions on June 10, 2024, to upload public self-disclosure information on their websites’ homepages and submit inspection-related documents in a prescribed format. Several universities, including three from Chhattisgarh (Anjanya University, Raipur; Dev Sanskriti University, Sankara Kumhari; and Maharishi Management and Technology University, Bilaspur), have failed to comply, leading to potential regulatory action.
