Delhi’s healthcare ecosystem is poised for transformation, as CM Rekha Gupta revealed on Sunday. The masterstroke: integrating GTB, DSCI, and RGSSH into a self-governing institute on AIIMS lines, alongside evolving IHBAS into NIMHANS-2 for mental health prowess.

Projections are staggering—radiology ballooning to 22 seats, pathology to 26, anesthesia to 48—fueled by mergers and new appointments. Specialized voids fill rapidly: 26 PG spots in DSCI’s oncology streams and 14 in RGSSH’s cardiac domains, igniting fresh programs.

Enhanced metrics in beds, caseloads, and personnel set the stage for MBBS growth. Strategic builds of hostels, labs, and auditoriums ensure holistic education.
