CM Rupani to dedicate carry irrigation scheme for 89 tribal villages of Surat district

New Delhi: Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani will dedicate Kakrapar-Gordha-Vad carry irrigation scheme price Rs 570 crores offering irrigation facility to 49500 acres of land of 89 tribal villages of Surat District on tenth January.
The Chief Minister expressed his decisive dedication to supply water enrichment by means of Lift Irrigation-Lifting Irrigation Scheme in such areas.
Accordingly, underneath this Kakrapar-Gordha-Vad Udvahan Irrigation Scheme, water might be equipped to 49500 acres of land to a complete of 89 villages together with 61 of Mandvi taluka and 28 of Mangrol taluka. About 29000 tribal farmer households might be benefitted.
As a results of this carry irrigation scheme to be inaugurated by the Chief Minister, 3 medium dams, 2 giant lakes and 30 examine dams in addition to storage of water in 6 ravines will elevate the water degree in these tribal areas.
