CM Samrat: All Bihar Districts to Get Four-Lane Links

Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on Tuesday made it clear that every district headquarters will soon enjoy four-lane road connectivity. During the Road Construction Department review, he laid out an ambitious plan to strengthen Bihar’s infrastructure backbone. The CM said the state is racing to complete expressways and highways so that even far-flung areas reach Patna within five hours. He demanded accelerated yet high-standard work on all national and state highways. Better roads to tourist destinations, heritage sites, industrial corridors and key agricultural markets will drive faster economic progress and generate employment, he observed. He also directed officials to enforce the bridge maintenance policy strictly and carry out regular structural audits. The Vikramshila bridge will be rebuilt based on expert reports, and the Kacchi Dargah-Bidupur six-lane bridge must be finished in the first week of July. Top officials from the Chief Minister’s Office, Road Construction Department and NHAI were present.
