Congress’ 10-Day Camp in Chaibasa Targets District-Level Expansion

The Congress party’s drive to reclaim ground in eastern India kicked off with a 10-day residential workshop for district presidents from Odisha and Jharkhand in Chaibasa, Jharkhand, beginning Sunday. Under the ‘Organization Building Drive’, it prioritizes fortifying district networks and equipping leaders for sustained growth.

Inaugurated by AICC’s Sachin Rao, Jharkhand in-charges Dr. Siribela Prasad and Bhupendra Marawi, Odisha’s Ajay Kumar Lallu, state president Keshav Mahto Kamlesh, and legislature heads Pradeep Yadav and Ramchandra Kadam, the event unites 60 leaders – 35 from Odisha, 25 from Jharkhand.

Curriculum covers organizational scaling, public relations, leadership training, and conversational prowess, all aimed at amplifying district influence. ‘This camp marks a turning point for our party’s longevity,’ affirmed Keshav Mahto Kamlesh, advocating for proactive, responsible local operations.

Discussions will span strategic planning, public linkage tactics, issue-spotting in locales, and political framing. Field visits over two days will provide practical exposure through community dialogues.

Leading the training are experts including K. Raju, Ajay Kumar Lallu, Bhakta Charan Das, Shashikant Senthil, Pradeep Yadav, Radhakrishna Kishore, Dr. Irfan Ansari, Deepika Pandey Singh, Shilpi Neha Tirkey, Rajesh Kachchap, Bandhu Tirkey, Dr. Abhay Sagar Minz, Sanjay Basu Mallick, and Dayamani Barla.

Set to end March 31, anticipation swirls over Rahul Gandhi’s possible attendance, poised to deliver game-changing directives for organizational renewal.
