Deadly Koppal Crash: Tire Burst Sparks Fatal Fire

Karnataka’s Koppal district witnessed a heart-wrenching road tragedy early March 21, as a commercial truck’s tire mishap cascaded into a lethal collision and blaze, snuffing out two lives. The VRL-owned lorry, bound for Gangavati from Solapur, encountered trouble at 4:30 AM close to an Ashok Leyland showroom. A sudden tire rupture caused it to swerve wildly, crash over the median, and ram a oncoming tipper. Fire services mounted a heroic response to quell the flames, but driver 35-year-old Govindappa from Anegundi and cleaner Huchchappa from Bommanhal, both of Yelburga’s Katagihalli village, had already succumbed to the wreckage’s brutality.
