Dera chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh taken to hospital for stomach ache

Jailed Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Thursday was moved to PGIMS Rohtak after he complained of stomach ache.
Singh underwent major medical therapy and a CT scan examination, after which he was taken again to Sunaria jail.
This is the second time within the latest previous that the Dera chief, who’s serving 20 years imprisonment in Sunaria jail, was taken to Rohtak’s PGIMS. Last month, too, he was taken to the hospital after he complained of uneasiness and chest ache.

Last Friday, he was granted one-day parole to fulfill his ailing mom. He was taken out of the Sunaria jail below a decent police safety cowl to fulfill his mom at a location that was not disclosed by the authorities to keep away from his followers from gathering the spot.

Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh was convicted on August 25, 2017 on costs of raping two ladies “disciples”. He was pronounced responsible in each circumstances and sentenced to 10 years’ imprisonment in every case (whole 20 years). Subsequently, he was convicted on costs of homicide of Chhatrapati on January 11, 2019. He was sentenced to life imprisonment.
Ram Rahim can be going through one other homicide cost over the killing of his dera’s supervisor Ranjit Singh, and one other case pertaining to allegations of castration of some followers of the dera, at his behest. The homicide case is within the last arguments’ stage, and the castration case is pending below litigation.
