Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has delivered on his promise by implementing a 10 percent horizontal reservation in government jobs for demobilized Agniveers. This reservation applies to numerous uniformed positions within the state, including police, fire services, and forest departments. In addition to the job reservations, the government has also enhanced the support for families of martyrs. The ex-gratia amount for families of martyred soldiers has been increased to ₹50 lakh. A family member of each martyr will also be offered a government job. Furthermore, the financial assistance for Param Vir Chakra awardees has been raised to ₹1.5 crore. These measures underscore the government’s dedication to supporting those who have served the nation. The recently completed Sainya Dham in Dehradun will serve as a symbol of the state’s military valor and sacrifice, connecting future generations with tales of bravery and patriotism.
