The Chief Minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar, has announced the implementation of a domicile policy. A post on the social media platform X outlined the details. The post mentioned the government’s ongoing efforts to improve the education system since November 2005, including the recruitment of numerous teachers. The Education Department has been directed to amend the relevant regulations to prioritize Bihar residents (DOMICILE) in the recruitment of teachers. The policy is set to be implemented starting with TRE-4 in 2025. TRE-5 will follow in 2026, with the STET examination to be conducted beforehand.
