EAM Jaishankar briefs consultative panel on Ukraine disaster, opposition leaders say stand united with authorities

NEW DELHI: The opposition stands united with the federal government, a number of leaders mentioned on Thursday after External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar briefed the consultative committee of his ministry on Russia’s assault on Ukraine and the evacuation of scholars from the war-hit nation.
The assembly of the 21-member committee, chaired by Jaishankar, was attended by 9 MPs from six events and got here in for fulsome reward from some leaders.

Echoing him, Shiv Sena MP Priyanka Chaturvedi described the assembly as “very good”.
“We were well briefed and stand united with the government,” she mentioned YSR Congress MP Beeseti Venkata Satyavathi mentioned the ministry within the assembly assured the MPs that stranded college students could be evacuated within the subsequent few days.
