The Standing Commitee of the East Delhi Municipal Corporation on Wednesday proposed that the property tax evaluation of group halls and gymnasiums positioned inside group housing societies (GHS) be executed on the norms set for residential items.

The EDMC panel handed a decision to this impact in its assembly.

As group halls and gymnasiums positioned inside group housing societies are utilized by inside residents solely and outsiders do not use it, and lighting, sanitation and safety prices are borne by the GHS, so, the transfer had been taken, the decision stated.

The decision additionally stated that such amenities are utilized by its members at no cost and no industrial use is manufactured from these facilities.
