Making an announcement within the state Assembly, Deshmukh stated after Hiran’s spouse expressed suspicion that her husband might have been murdered, the ATS registered a case towards unidentified individuals below IPC Sections 302 (homicide), 20 (inflicting disappearance of proof of offence) and (b)(prison conspiracy). Deshmukh added that an acceptable probe was being carried out into all the case.
“The Maharashtra Police are capable of solving the case. The Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has begun its probe into it,” he stated.
Earlier, speaking to reporters within the Vidhan Bhavan complicated, Leader of Opposition within the Assembly Devendra Fadnavis stated the state authorities ought to be ashamed of itself for failing to supply safety to Hiran.
“I was insisting from day one that Hiran’s life was in danger…the ATS, which has now taken over the probe has filed a case of murder and causing disappearance of evidence. Hiran was a key witness in this investigation,” Fadnavis claimed.
