Fatal Hapur Crash: Wedding Bus vs Truck Claims 6 Lives
1 min readA devastating collision between a wedding bus and a truck in Hapur district has left a community in grief, with six dead and seven hospitalized. The mishap happened Monday in the Dhaulana jurisdiction on the Kapoorpura-Dhaulana route.
The bus, ferrying a baraat from Dasna, Ghaziabad, to Gulawati, Bulandshahar, was en route home post-ceremony when the driver lost control. High velocity led to a direct smash into an oncoming Hydra truck, which toppled and crushed the bus in a pile of debris.
The force shattered the bus into pieces, trapping passengers beneath the truck’s load. Immediate pandemonium saw locals aiding in desperate pulls from the mangled frame, their efforts pivotal until professional help arrived.
Hapur SP Kunwar Gyananjay Singh, arriving with reinforcements from six stations, oversaw the grueling rescue. Dead victims were sent for autopsy, injured to facilities like Rama and GS Medical Colleges and Dhaulana CHC, where critical cases are stabilizing.
‘Immediate relief was provided; six confirmed dead, seven treated successfully so far,’ the SP confirmed. Preliminary findings blame overspeeding, a recurring hazard on this corridor.
This tragedy amplifies voices for enhanced safety measures—speed checks, better lighting, and awareness campaigns—to prevent future losses on roads that see heavy wedding traffic.
