A workshop was held in Dehradun to establish Uttarakhand as a leading destination for film production, co-hosted by the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) and the Uttarakhand Film Development Council (UFDC). The discussions centered on policy changes, infrastructure development, and talent enhancement. Government incentives were highlighted, along with plans for a state film festival, film awards, and the integration of regional language films with OTT platforms. The event saw participation from film producers, policy experts, and government officials, emphasizing the importance of quality content, talent, and technology. The Indian Cine Hub’s role in streamlining processes for filmmakers and the revival of community film viewing were also discussed.
