Former CBI director Ranjit Sinha passes away

Former CBI director Ranjit Sinha died right here on Friday morning in what’s believed to be a COVID-19 associated loss of life, senior officers stated. He was 68.
It is known that he was confirmed optimistic for coronavirus on Thursday evening, the officers stated.
Sinha, a 1974-batch officer of the Bihar cadre, had headed Director General of Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) power, the Railway Protection Force and served at senior positions within the Central Bureau of Investigation in Patna and Delhi earlier than his appointment as CBI chief in 2012.
