Ahead of the Kerala Assembly polls scheduled to position later this 12 months, former Director-General of Police Jacob Thomas joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

While chatting with reporters, Thomas hit out on the ruling Left Democratic Front (LDF) and the United Democratic Front (UDF) calling them corrupt and mentioned that he joined the BJP as a result of he’s preventing corruption.

“The LDF and the UDF are immersed in corruption. I have joined BJP to fight corruption,” Thomas mentioned after accepting his membership from BJP nationwide president JP Nadda at a public assembly venue on the Thekkinkad Maidan.

Nadda arrived in Kochi on Thursday as a part of his two-day go to to the state to evaluate the BJP’s election preparations forward of Assembly polls.
