BJP MP Manoj Tiwari painted an inspiring picture of Delhi’s healthcare renaissance during an HPV immunization program at Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital. In his IANS interview, he credited the government with replacing outdated ‘looting’ practices with heartfelt service.
Joined by Health Minister Dr. Pankaj Kumar Singh, Tiwari celebrated the Chief Minister’s unveiling of five pivotal projects, from OPD expansions to attendant support buildings. ‘These will transform patient experiences,’ he enthused, lamenting the absence of such innovations in prior terms.
The hospital, a lifeline for distant patients, had been sidelined by self-serving past leaders, Tiwari charged. Now, reforms like the HPV vaccine initiative are making waves. This shot prevents cervical cancer in teen girls, addressing 80,000 cases annually. Free in Delhi at Rs 5,000 value, it’s driven by PM Modi, CM Rekha Gupta, and Dr. Singh, with enthusiastic parental buy-in.
Praising Director Dr. Dhameja’s squad, Tiwari reiterated the government’s welfare focus. He took aim at AAP and Congress for 27 years of health sector neglect. ‘Better services for all—this is our journey’s start,’ he concluded.
Delhi’s health story is one of redemption, blending infrastructure boosts with preventive care for lasting impact.
