The construction of the Ganga Expressway is progressing rapidly, with nearly 90% of the work already finished. The project, overseen by UPEIDA, is designed to significantly enhance connectivity across 12 districts in Uttar Pradesh. The expressway will stretch 594 kilometers, from Meerut to Prayagraj, and is built at a cost of over Rs. 36,200 crore. The expressway will provide direct high-speed connectivity from the National Capital Region. The expressway will also feature an airstrip in Shahjahanpur for emergency landings. The project aims to reduce congestion and promote the faster movement of goods and people. Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted the project’s role in boosting economic activities.
