Gas leak: BJP calls for instant arrest of meat processing plant proprietor

ALIGARH: A delegation of BJP leaders on Friday met District Magistrate Inder Veer Singh, demanding the instant arrest of the proprietor of a meat processing plant, the place over 50 employees fell unwell following the leakage of ammonia gasoline.
The incident had taken place on Thursday morning on the meat plant run by Haji Zaheer Qureshi.
The normal secretary of the BJP’s metropolis unit, Sanju Bajaj, mentioned his celebration demanded that the plant be sealed and a high-powered inquiry be ordered into its functioning.
They instructed mediapersons that if Qureshi isn’t arrested inside 24 hours, their celebration will intensify its stir. Earlier, police had booked seven members of the manufacturing unit workers, together with the proprietor, for negligence.
Barring the proprietor, who’s absconding, the opposite six officers have been arrested.
Fifty-nine employees have been taken unwell after the incident on the meat processing plant on the outskirts of Aligarh metropolis.
All employees are out of hazard and an inquiry has been ordered into the incident, District Magistrate Inder Veer Singh had mentioned.
