The Noida unit of UP STF arrested Harsh Vardhan Jain, a Ghaziabad resident, for posing as an ambassador and running a money laundering operation. Jain used a doctored photo with Prime Minister Modi to enhance his credibility and utilized fake number plates on high-end vehicles. He falsely represented himself as a consul and ambassador of micronations like West Arctica, Seborga, Poulvia, and Ladonia. The scheme involved a Hawala racket with fraudulent overseas job offers. Jain had connections with global arms dealers, including Adnan Khashoggi, since 2011. A satellite phone was also discovered at his residence.
