Goa court docket defers verdict in Tarun Tejpal rape case to May 21
The verdict within the rape case towards Tarun Tejpal, former editor-in-chief of Tehelka journal, was Wednesday deferred to May 21 as a result of energy outage within the District and Sessions Court at Mapusa in North Goa. Tejpal confronted trial for committing offences below IPC Sections 341 (wrongful restraint), 342 (wrongful confinement), 354 (assault or felony pressure with intent to outrage modesty), 354A (sexual harassment), 354B (assault or use of felony pressure to girl with intent to disrobe), 376 (2)(f) (particular person in place of authority over ladies, committing rape) and 376(2)(ok) (rape by particular person in place of management).
