PANAJI: At least 71 fireplace spots have been attended to within the forests of Goa, together with Mhadei Wildlife Sanctuary, within the final 10 days, state Forest Minister Vishwajit Rane stated on Tuesday.
Rane had earlier within the day tweeted that there have been presently no energetic flames within the forest areas.
The minister chaired a high-level assembly to evaluate the state of affairs of forest fires that started on March 5.
Talking to reporters, Rane stated Chief Wildlife Warden Saurabh Kumar made a presentation on the up to date standing of fires in Goa, the character and certain causes of those fires and actions being taken by the forest division.
