A grim day unfolded as five people lost their lives in the Godavari River in Nirmal district, Telangana. The victims, from Hyderabad, were on a pilgrimage to Basar. The incident occurred when a group from Rajasthan entered the river for a holy bath. Tragically, some individuals were caught by the current and drowned. In a separate incident, an old bridge collapsed over the Indrayani River near Kundamala village in Pune district, Maharashtra, leading to a large-scale rescue operation. Reports suggest that several people may be trapped in the debris, and rescue teams are on site.
