Holi preparations in Gorakhpur reach a crescendo with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath set to immerse in the Bhakt Prahlad Shobha Yatra on March 2 evening. The Pandayhata venue, managed by the Sri Sri Holika Dahan committee, buzzes with anticipation for this highlight event.
Yogi will conduct Prahlad’s aarti, revel in floral Holi, apply abeer-gulal, dispatch the procession, and bless the city with Holi greetings, embodying the festival’s spirit of good over evil.
He is also scheduled for the Narsingh Shobha Yatra on March 4, with authorities having locked in all logistics.
District Magistrate Deepak Meena emphasized the annual Ghantaghar events featuring the CM, with routes cleared and security fortified ahead of time.
Senior Superintendent of Police Dr. Kaustubh outlined extra vigilance around construction in the heritage gallery. Accounting for the CM’s pedestrian stretch of 100-200 meters amid enthusiasts, footpaths are secured, complemented by drone patrols.
Efforts are in full swing to craft a landmark procession, prioritizing crowd control, safe roads, and impeccable organization. The public is invited to celebrate vibrantly yet safely, amplifying Gorakhpur’s Holi legacy.
