Government plans to start out cruise companies on Yamuna river

MATHURA: The authorities plans to start out cruise companies on the Yamuna river, a prime official of UP Braj Tirth Vikas Parishad mentioned on Friday.

An order has been positioned with Cochin Shipyard by the Union authorities for 2 cruises. These cruises might be handed over to the Parishad, its chief government officer Nagendra Pratap mentioned.

According to officers, the cruise service will begin from Jugal Ghat Vrindavan and terminate at ‘Vasudeo Vatika’ adjoining to Gokul barrage, with halts at varied factors.

Under the scheme, greater than half a dozen jetties could be developed for the 22 km journey from Vrindavan to Gokul, they added.

The officers mentioned the Union authorities can be growing comparable river transport in Ayodhya and Varanasi.
