Gulf Tensions Spark NDA Fuel Conservation Drive in India
1 min readIndia’s political leadership is stepping up amid fears of an energy crunch fueled by Gulf hostilities. NDA stalwarts, including Union Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal, are appealing to the masses to voluntarily slash petrol and diesel usage, framing it as a national duty in line with PM Narendra Modi’s directives.
Meghwal, speaking in Bikaner, painted a clear picture: ‘Gulf-related global tensions mean we must reduce fuel consumption. It’s a self-initiated call from PM Modi and myself—every Indian should strive for minimal use until stability returns, strengthening our crisis response.’
Complementing this, Sanjay Saravgi, BJP’s Bihar president, celebrated PM Modi’s convoy austerity—just two cars. ‘Oil prices are exploding; foreign markets have seen 400-500% jumps. PM’s excise duty cuts protected citizens, and his conservation appeal extends to all levels of governance.’
Saravgi pushed the envelope on sustainability, noting cabinet approval for EV promotion. ‘It’s time to embrace electric mobility.’ With PM Modi heading to the UAE for energy talks, Saravgi stressed, ‘Foreign trips always put India first.’
Turning to education woes, Saravgi accused the opposition of flip-flopping on NEET UG. ‘Government canceled it, CBI is investigating—opposition demanded this, now they riot. Don’t toy with students’ dreams.’
Bihar’s Ram Kripal Yadav added, ‘Five arrests made in NEET mess; rigorous measures ensure it won’t happen again.’
These initiatives blend immediate fuel-saving tactics with forward-thinking policies, positioning India to weather geopolitical storms while safeguarding youth aspirations.
