Heavy snowfall in Kashmir & Ladakh, rains lash Jammu and Delhi

New Delhi: Moderate to heavy snowfall engulfed Kashmir and better reaches of Ladakh whereas rains lashed the Jammu division at present. The Met workplace has forecast widespread snowfall in lots of areas of the valley at present and tomorrow with heavy snowfall at remoted locations.
Traffic on the Srinagar-Jammu freeway has been halted due to snow accumulation within the Jawahar Tunnel sector of the freeway. As the evening sky remained overcast, minimal temperatures improved all through J&Okay and Ladakh.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) had earlier predicted thunderstorms with mild to average rainfall over some components of South Delhi and a few districts of Haryana.

Both the utmost and minimal temperatures are anticipated to rise additional over the subsequent two days, with the IMD forecasting mild to average showers tomorrow.
