Himachal-Delhi Charas Racket Smashed: 5 Arrested, 480g Seized
1 min readAuthorities in Delhi have shattered a sophisticated interstate drug network ferrying top-grade Malana charas from Himachal’s Parvati Valley into NCR territories. With five operatives in custody and 480.4 grams confiscated, the operation exposes the depth of organized narcotics trade.
The breakthrough began at Ghazipur police station following a tip-off. Seven phones instrumental in coordinating consignments were among the recoveries.
On April 9, a patrol team at Shermanath Bandh spotted erratic behavior from two men in Garholi, leading to the arrest of Shubham Jain and Rahul Kumar with 115 grams in possession.
Follow-up raids netted Vishal Bhardwaj on April 18, yielding 101.4 grams personally and 264 grams from his Gurugram base.
Core revelations identified Urmesh, Malana resident and chief supplier, nabbed via a specialized Himachal operation. Hardeep, the vital link transporting consignments to Delhi, is set for formal arrest from his current custody.
This comprehensive strike has neutralized the racket’s supply chain end-to-end. Delhi Police vows relentless pursuit to dismantle residual elements, bolstering public safety against rising drug influx.
