The interrogation of the accused, including Sonam Raghuvanshi, exposed several plots intended to end her life before the wedding. The initial plans involved staging her disappearance and later, a horrifying scheme to use a burned body in her vehicle to make it look like she had died. The first attempt to murder Raja was made in Guwahati, however, it was not successful. Finally, the murder was committed at Weisawdong Falls in Meghalaya.
